Bacon-Wrapped Hotdogs and what to do with leftover summer BBQ food

Bacon makes everything better, so naturally wrapping a hotdog with bacon would make that better as well. I find myself trying to figure out how to use leftovers every time I throw any type of party. It seems that I throw many more parties during the summer in the form of BBQs. I decided to come up with some good ways of using the most common leftovers that you will have after a BBQ.

Ingredients:

  • Bacon

  • Hot Dog (preferably all beef)

Directions

  • Wrap hot dog in bacon

  • Place the bacon-wrapped hotdog in a pan on medium-high heat

  • Cook each side of bacon until bacon is cooked through and crispy

  • Remove bacon-wrapped hotdog from the pan

ENJOY!

Hawaiian Style Hotdog

  • Place your bacon-wrapped hot dog in your bun

  • Top with your leftover pulled pork or kalua pork

  • Top with chopped pineapple

  • Drizzle BBQ sauce or teriyaki sauce on top

  • Garnish with some thinly sliced green onions

Sonoran Style (ish) Hotdog

  • Open up hotdog bun and add a small layer of baked beans

  • Add bacon-wrapped hot dog on top

  • Add sauteed onions and bell peppers

  • Drizzle with, mayo, mustard, and ketchup

  • *optional, garnish with cotija cheese
