Youtube Thumb.jpg

This is one of the best dishes I’ve ever made. My favorite flavor combination is sweet and spicy. This recipe delivers the perfect combination of sweet, spicy AND savory. Make this for you next party with our fried rice recipe and you’ll be the talk of the town.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Lbs thinly sliced pork shoulder or pork butt

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup corn syrup

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 7 cloves minced garlic

  • 1 tsp minced FRESH ginger

  • 1 Tbs Soy sauce

  • 1/2 cup gochujang chile paste

  • 1/2 white onion sliced into thin strips

Directions:

  • Separate the slices of pork and put into a bowl

  • Add all of the ingredients on top of the pork

  • Mix all together thoroughly by hand

  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and leave in the refrigerator over night.

  • Add olive oil to a large frying pan over medium high heat

  • In batches add the spicy pork and cook until each side is browned and cooked though (there should be a brown/dark brown crust that has formed on most of the exterior of the meat)

  • Add onions 3 minutes before the spicy pork is done

  • Serve with fried rice

ENJOY!
