Smoked Ham and Cheese Slider

These ham and cheese (or any meat you prefer) sliders are absolutely mouth-watering and should be made at your next party. They are extremely easy to make and can easily be made in large quantities. Go a little wild and try a bunch of different combinations of meats and cheeses in these smoked sliders. All smoked on the Recteq RT-700


Ingredients:

  • One 12-pack of Hawaiian rolls

  • 1/4 lb sliced ham

  • 1/4 lb sliced hard salami

  • 1/4 lb sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1/4 lb Havarti cheese

  • 6 Tbsp butter, melted ( save 1 tablespoon for the very end of the cook)

  • 1 Tbsp dijon mustard

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 1 Tbsp dried onion flakes

  • 1 tsp parsley flakes

Instructions:

  • Preheat your smoker (or oven) to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

  • Keep the Hawaiian rolls stuck together and cut them horizontally

  • In a small glass container melt 5 tablespoons of butter

  • To the melted butter add dijon mustard, parsley flakes, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper

  • Mix until completely combined

  • Place the bottom half of the rolls into an aluminum pan

  • Lightly brush on the butter mixture to the rolls

  • Layer on your ham, then your salami on top

  • Next layer your cheddar then Havarti cheeses

  • Place the top half of the rolls on top

  • Brush on the rest of the butter mixture on top and the sides

  • Sprinkle on your dried onion

  • Place the aluminum pan into your smoker (or oven) for 20 minutes

  • Melt a tablespoon of butter

  • Remove from the oven and brush on melted butter and sprinkle on a light amount of dried parsley

  • Cut into handheld sliders and server immediately
