The Perfect Lasagna

This is the best lasagna recipe that you could ever make. Super cheesy with an out-of-this-world meat sauce. Every layer of this lasagna is a burst of flavor. I’ve been making this lasagna recipe for years and every time I make it, it’s devoured up. This is how you make lasagna.


Ingredients:

Meat sauce recipe here

1- 9oz box of oven-ready lasagna noodles

Ricotta Filling

  • 16oz ricotta cheese

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley

  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 1 egg

Cheeses

  • 1 pound of sliced mozzarella

  • 1 -15oz jar of your favorite alfredo sauce

  • 4 oz freshly grated asiago cheese

  • 2 oz of freshly shaved parmigiano reggiano


Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees

  • In an aluminum pan ( I use the size 12.75"L x 10.375"W x 2.562"H) or your favorite lasagna pan add 1/2 cup of meat sauce to the bottom and evenly spread out.

  • Layer in the following order: 3 noodles, 1/4 ricotta filling, 1/4 alfredo sauce, 1/4 sliced mozzarella, 3/4 cup of meat sauce, 1/4 asiago cheese. Repeat this for a total of 4 layers.

  • On the final layer add the shaved Parmigiano Reggiano on top.

  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes

  • Remove the aluminum foil and bake for another 10 minutes or until bubbly and cheese is lightly browned

  • Remove from the oven and let the lasagna rest for at least 15-20 minutes.
