Smoked Brisket
Beef brisket is one of the best things that you can make on your smoker. There are a million different recipes you can enhance using beef brisket and don't forget about the burnt ends! Burnt ends are the holy grail of bbq, and they can only be found through a properly smoked brisket. I was able to make one of the best briskets of my life on my RT-700 Recteq smoker. Recteq smokers hold a steady temp for the entire cook.
Ingredients:
Whole packed brisket
1 cup course salt
1 cup cracked pepper
A LOT OF TIME
Instructions:
Trim your brisket per the video
Liberally coat all sides of the brisket with salt and pepper mix
Place in preheated 250 degree smoker with a water bath
Cook until the internal temp in the point side of the brisket reaches 203 degrees
Remove from smoker
Wrap in butcher paper, then a towel and place inside a cooler for one hour Burp (open the lid) the cooler after 30 minutes
Remove the brisket after an hour Slice the brisket against the grain at around 1/4 inch thickness
ENJOY!
