Peach Cobbler. Smoked On The Recteq RT-700
I love peaches and cobbler, and I knew combining the two would create a fantastic dessert. This is one of the best recipes for peach cobbler ever. It’s the perfect summertime recipe. This is how to make the best peach cobbler.
Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1 cube butter
1 egg
1 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
8 peaches skin removed and sliced into 1/4 inch slices
(If using canned peaches, use the canned peaches that are in 100% juice, NOT in heavy syrup)
4- 15oz canned peaches, drained
Instructions:
Preheat your smoker or oven to 350
Place fruit in 9×13 pan and fill 1/2 way up.
Combine 1 cup of sugar, butter & egg in a stand-up mixer.
Add dry ingredients, flour, baking powder & salt into your stand-up mixer until combined.
Boil 1 C sugar and 1 C water for 10 minutes.
Drop cobbler on top of the fruit and pour hot simple-syrup.
Bake at 350 ° for 45-60 minutes cover with foil if it is too brown.
Top with some high-quality vanilla ice cream
