Peach Cobbler. Smoked On The Recteq RT-700

I love peaches and cobbler, and I knew combining the two would create a fantastic dessert. This is one of the best recipes for peach cobbler ever. It’s the perfect summertime recipe. This is how to make the best peach cobbler.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 1 cube butter

  • 1 egg

  • 1 1/2 cup flour

  • 1 1/2 t baking powder

  • 1/2 t salt

  • 8 peaches skin removed and sliced into 1/4 inch slices

    • (If using canned peaches, use the canned peaches that are in 100% juice, NOT in heavy syrup)

    • 4- 15oz canned peaches, drained

Instructions:

  • Preheat your smoker or oven to 350

  • Place fruit in 9×13 pan and fill 1/2 way up.

  • Combine 1 cup of sugar, butter & egg in a stand-up mixer.

  • Add dry ingredients, flour, baking powder & salt into your stand-up mixer until combined.

  • Boil 1 C sugar and 1 C water for 10 minutes.

  • Drop cobbler on top of the fruit and pour hot simple-syrup.

  • Bake at 350 ° for 45-60 minutes cover with foil if it is too brown.

  • Top with some high-quality vanilla ice cream

  • Enjoy!
