Philly Cheese Steak Dip

This dip is absolutely AMAZING! Cheesy and meaty. Put this on top of a sliced baguette and you got yourself one of the greatest food combos ever.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 pounds thinly sliced ribeye or or top sirloin

  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 yellow onion, diced

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1 red bell pepper

  • 1 green bell pepper

  • 4 oz Velveeta cheese

  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

  • ½ pound provolone cheese

  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 dash chipotle powder

Directions:

  • Heat olive oil in a pan until it begins lightly smoking

  • Add in beef

  • Add salt and pepper to taste

  • While cooking break the meat into bite size pieces

  • Cook meat all the way through. Try a piece of the meat to make sure it has the right amount of salt and pepper to your taste.

  • Remove meat from pan and put into a mixing bowl to cool

  • In the same pan add butter and onions until they are softer and translucent (Around 5 to 10 minutes)

  • Add bell pepper and cook for another 5 to 10 minutes

  • Add chipotle powder

  • Add onions and bell pepper to the bowl with the meat

  • Add cream cheese, provolone cheese, and Worcestershire sauce

  • Mix everything together

  • Add to mixture to a tinfoil pan or baking dish

  • Mix in cubed Velveeta cheese

  • Add small layer of shredded provolone cheese

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees

  • Cook dip for 20 to 30 minutes or until the cheese on top is melted and bubbling

  • Serve with sliced baguette.
