BBQ Burnt End Lasagna
Whenever I make brisket I tend to have a bunch of leftovers. I love me some brisket sandwiches, but I wanted to try something new. I decided to make a BBQ lasagna using burnt ends. I’d never seen a BBQ lasagna before. It’s cheesy, smoky, creamy and absolutely delicious. Whenever you need ideas for leftover brisket, left over pulled pork or any type of left over BBQ. Try making a BBQ lasagna. This BBQ lasagna will change you life :)
Ingredients:
Point portion of your brisket (around 2 pounds)
Half pound of deli sliced ham
Half pound deli sliced mozzarella
Half pound shredded smoked gouda
1 jar of alfredo sauce
1 cup of bbq sauce
1/2 stick of butter
1 Tbsp BBQ seasoning
Lasagna noodles ( I use the ones that don’t need to be precooked)
Instructions for Burnt Ends:
Preheat your smoker to 275 degrees
Cube up the point section of your brisket into 1 inch cubes (it doesn’t have to be exact)
Place into a aluminum pan
Add slices of butter, BBQ sauce, BBQ seasoning
Stir all together
Cover with tinfoil
Place into your smoker for 1 hour
Remove the tinfoil cover and mix everything together
Smoke for another hour
Instructions for BBQ Burnt End Lasagna:
In your favorite lasagna dish or a deep aluminum pan brush a light coat of your alfredo sauce
Place down a layer of of noodles
Place half of the brisket on top of the noodles, break apart the burnt ends with your finger while placing them down on top of the noodles
Sliced mozzarella cheese on top of the burnt ends
Sliced ham on top of the mozzarella cheese
Pour a third of the alfredo sauce on top of the ham and brush it to create an even layer
Top with a third of the shredded smoked gouda
Repeat ( Lasagna noodles, burnt ends, sliced mozzarella, sliced ham, alfredo sauce, smoked gouda)
The final layer will be- Lasagna noodles, alfredo sauce, smoked gouda
* Optional ( drizzle the juice from the pan you cooked the burnt ends in on top of the lasagna)
Cook per the instructions on your package of lasagna noodles
